CPACE Employer Engagement: Advisory Board Activities
The employer engagement strategies listed below have been grouped
based on your responses, budget, time lines, and overall feasibility.
We need your assistance in implementing these engagement strategies so
that we have optimal success creating outlets for awareness and
collecting data from employers.
First Approach:
- Please provide us with employer and association contacts so that we can gain access to employers, employees, and members.
- Help us make connections with minority groups such as The National
Society of Black Engineers Detroit Alumni Extension, The Society of
Hispanic Professional Engineers, and The Michigan Minority Business
Development Council.
- Lend your name for support by granting us permission to reference your name in an invitation letter.
Process:
1) Tammy Coxen, CSW, (734) 769-2900, tcoxen@skilledwork.org will contact the AB members via e-mail or phone beginning June 16 running through June 30 to
obtain relevant employer, association, and/or minority group contact
information such as contact's name, company name, most easy to reach
phone number, and email address (may be that of an assistant).
2) Once you provide us with a contact, we ask that you
notify your contact and let them know that a CPACE team member will be
connecting with them within the next several days.
3) Please let us know if you would like to be a part of this initial engagement meeting/phone call.
Second Approach:
- Please share with us any existing state collaborations and upcoming
state association and employer forums that you are participating in, or
are aware of, which you believe will provide us with an opportunity to
address the audience.
Process:
1) Tammy Coxen, CSW, (734) 769-2900, tcoxen@skilledwork.org will contact the AB members via e-mail or phone beginning June 16 running through June 30 in
order for AB members to provide her details of the collaboration or
forum including contact name, most easy to reach phone number, and email
address (may be that of an assistant).
2) Once you provide us with a contact, we ask that you
notify your contact and let them know that a CPACE team member will be
connecting with them within the next several days.
3) Please let us know if you would like to be a part of this initial engagement meeting/phone call.
4) Please let us know if you would like to address the
audience on your own. We will provide you with PowerPoint slides,
talking points, and brochures.
5) If you would like a CPACE team member to address the
audience, or address the audience along with you, we will first determine the feasibility of connecting with the group based on budget and team capacity.
